Tennis star Novak Djokovic's visa has been cancelled again. Australia's immigration Minister passed the order of deportation of the tennis star. Djokovic had arrived in Australia chasing a record 10th Australian Open title & his 21st Grand Slam.

   

Immigration Minister Alex Hawke cancels Novak Djokovic's visa ahead of Australian Open

Tennis star Novak Djokovic's visa has been cancelled again. Australia's immigration Minister cancelled passed the order of deportation of the tennis star. Djokovic had arrived in Australia chasing a record 10th Australian Open title & his 21st Grand Slam.

WHO?

Australia's immigration Minister Alex Hawke announced the same while issuing a lengthy statement, saying he used his power under section 133C(3) to cancel Djokovic's visa and pass the order of deportation of the tennis star.

Djokovic, whose team had earlier won a court case over the 20-time Grand Slam champion's deportation the first time, now have the following options:

1. He will have the opportunity to present his reasons to Alex Hawke as to why his visa shouldn’t be revoked
2. He will have the option to go back to court and fight (but the court matter won’t finish before 17th January by when the Australian Open would've started.

In other words, it looks like Djokovic would not be able to participate in the Australian Open 2022.
